RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation has launched an educational course titled “Light of the Future” for children aged 12–15. The program combines online and in-person sessions and helps teenagers understand how renewable energy works, how modern technologies are transforming communities, and how everyone can make a difference in energy efficiency in their daily lives. The project became possible thanks to the support of donor Westmill Energy — a community-owned renewable energy cooperative in the UK that masterfully blends wind and solar generation, producing over 10 GWh of clean energy annually. A comprehensive approach RePower Ukraine combines various forms of community support: we provide portable charging stations and flexible solar panels, and build solar power plants for schools and municipal institutions. Through educational initiatives for children, such as the “Light of the Future” course, we demonstrate how these technologies work in practice and help teenagers understand how to use energy efficiently and participate in their community. What participants will learn? The program explains complex topics simply and engagingly: the basics of energy and various energy sources; renewable energy and its ...
Repower Ukraine appeals for industry support during this most brutal winter
Alex Diachenko2026-02-18T13:58:27+00:00Repower Ukraine has appealed to the European and UK sustainable energy industry to do more to help its vital hospital energy programme. Right now, and after an already brutal winter, temperatures in Kyiv are set to drop again to minus 15 degrees Celsius, with at least another week of severe sub-zero temperatures forecast. Svitlana Vovchenko, CEO of Repower Ukraine, explained that "very harsh winter conditions, combined with the large-scale destruction of the energy system, have affected literally everyone, but Repower Ukraine is providing some hope to frontline medical facilities. Together with our European and UK partners, we have already delivered 10 vital solar and battery hospital projects, but with greater support, we could be doing even more to address this severe and ongoing crisis." Russia's deliberate targeting of Ukraine's energy infrastructure has led to a widespread humanitarian crisis, with predictably grim results. Earlier this month, Kharkiv, for example, declared an energy regional-level emergency after months of constant enemy shelling. Ordinary Ukrainians, of course, are on the frontline of this brutal onslaught, which is clearly designed to ...

Bring Solar Energy to Ukraine’s Hospitals
Alex Diachenko2025-08-18T12:26:43+00:00Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure continue, putting hospitals at risk. These strikes are especially devastating for frontline communities like Slobozhanske, where power outages threaten access to medical care. But we can protect local residents by installing a solar power station at the hospital. With solar energy, the hospital will no longer depend on the central grid, ensuring doctors can provide life-saving care even during blackouts. Every contribution helps bring energy security to those who need it most. “Give me at least some kind of solar power system, I don't want to have to do the headlight surgery again” an anonymous doctor to whom we provide emergency energy supply. about repower ukraine RePower Ukraine Foundation was founded by Ukrainians to tackle the energy challenges caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion. Our Impact on Ukraine’s Energy Resilience: 100+ critical energy requests fulfilled for hospitals & municipalities By providing essential energy equipment such as voltage regulators, solar panels and battery storage, we ensure that hospitals and local governments ...
