Oleksandr has a unique combination of education and practical experience and is now on the threshold of an exciting new career in solar energy.

With diplomas from the Dniprodzerzhynsk Energy Technical School (specialty “Geodesist”) and the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine (specialty “Accounting and Auditing”), Oleksandr already had a solid technical foundation. However, he gained real experience during his military service, where he was involved in setting up communication networks, equipment, and solar panels.

“While working in the army, I gained valuable skills in working with various energy equipment, including solar panels and batteries. This awakened my interest in solar energy. Starting from 2 March 2022, he served in the NGU, first in the 21st Brigade, then transferred to the 13th Brigade. During the war, he was a mortar gunner, a senior mortar gunner. He was able to resign in October 2023 for family reasons,” – says Oleksandr.

Now Oleksandr works at Electric Solutions (Dnipro) with another student of our course (Daniel Sambros). So far, they have installed 5 rooftop stations and 1 ground station. The company has a great demand for employees, and electricians (the connection of panels) are developing into a separate speciality, that is, there are already requests for separate specialists in connecting solar panels, because the industry is developing quite quickly, you need to keep up with market updates and therefore everyone receives more applications for installation (already now the demand is about three months in advance).

“I knew my knowledge and experience would be very useful during the training. At the same time, I understood that the course would allow me to deepen my competencies and open up new possibilities in the planning and installation of solar power plants,” Oleksandr explains.

The “Solar ReStart” educational course became a real inspiration for Oleksandr. He enthusiastically immersed himself in studying advanced technologies, design methods, and installation of solar power plants.

“The course was very intense and practically oriented. I gained comprehensive knowledge and skills that now help me rethink my career,” Oleksandr shares.

After completing the training, Oleksandr has ambitious plans for further development in solar energy. He aims to become a highly qualified specialist in the planning and installation of solar power plants.

“I’m confident that solar energy is the future of our country. Therefore, I want to make every effort to become a part of this exciting and promising industry,” Oleksandr concludes.

Oleksandr’s story is a vivid example of how the combination of technical knowledge, practical experience, and a desire to learn can open up new opportunities in the field of renewable energy. His path demonstrates that the “Solar ReStart” program is capable of inspiring people to change their careers and develop new professional horizons.
