RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation implemented a PV plant installation project for Clinical Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 17 in Kharkiv city as part of our program to provide photovoltaic systems for hospitals across Ukraine. We took full ownership of the project, from initiation to implementation, ensuring its successful execution. Overview: The hospital performs over 4,000 operations yearly and serves as a crucial healthcare facility for the region. It is located 40 kilometers from the border with the aggressor country, adding to its strategic significance. The inpatient department has 585 beds, 700 employees, and a fully functional in-house laboratory for all necessary tests. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, colposcopy, and cardiogram investigations. Challenge: Ongoing shelling attacks in the Kharkiv region caused systematic power outages at the hospital. RePower Ukraine Foundation continues to empower healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine. This time the must-have energy equipment was provided to the Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital of Intensive Care, located in Pokrovsk City. Overview: The Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital of Intensive Care plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by providing specialized care to critically ill patients in the war-affected region. This is currently the largest medical institution in the Donetsk region, controlled by Ukraine. The Perinatal Center of the Pokrovsky Hospital is the only facility in the region where children are delivered and nursed. There are three bomb shelters on its premises, which are currently being prepared to provide comprehensive medical care. Challenge: One of the main challenges faced by this hospital is the unstable electricity supply. The Russian occupiers systematically destroy energy infrastructure facilities, resulting in an unreliable power supply. We acted as a technical consulting partner, offering comprehensive support throughout the project implementation, including design and installation works. Overview: Located just 27 km away from Kyiv, Irpin Central Hospital serves as a crucial healthcare facility for the region. With a total population of 75,913 people, including 52,799 residing in Irpin, the hospital provides essential medical care with 310 in-patient beds in the main clinic, 40 beds in the Children's City Hospital, and 85 beds in the Maternity Hospital. The institution persevered during the occupation, with the medical staff tirelessly providing essential medical care, assisting in childbirth, and covertly sheltering Ukrainian defenders from enemy soldiers. RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation supplied essential energy backup equipment to the surgeons' team at a mobile stabilization point led by Doctor Mr. Igor Belkin. Overview: The mobile stabilization point serves as a crucial facility, offering emergency medical aid and stabilization to individuals injured in the front-line region. The medical team consists of 5-6 surgeons and anesthesiologists dedicated to saving lives. Over the past year, the team provided emergency aid to 3.5 thousand people. Challenge: Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system and critical infrastructure have severely disrupted access to electricity. Availability of uninterrupted power supply is crucial for saving lives in hospitals, especially in the front-line region.
