RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation and the Kharkiv City Council have joined forces to accelerate the development of a green transition strategy for the city. The partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, solidifying commitment to promoting renewable energy and implementing sustainable initiatives.
Under the terms of the memorandum, RePower Ukraine will provide support and expertise in devising a comprehensive green transition strategy for Kharkiv. This strategy aims to increase the city’s energy independence and resilience while reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It also seeks to foster the adoption of solar energy technologies to create sustainable and environmentally friendly infrastructure.
One of the key aspects of the collaboration is the implementation of solar initiatives in critical public facilities. Hospitals, schools, and kindergartens will be equipped with PV plants to generate clean and cost-effective electricity. These initiatives will not only reduce the carbon footprint of these institutions but also help them become more energy-independent and resilient.
