Modern challenges often become the impetus for innovative solutions. A good example of this is the story of veteran Oleh. After demobilization, he started a successful business in the renewable energy field, helping Ukrainians overcome the energy challenges of wartime.

An engineer by profession, Oleh, after being wounded and demobilized, decided to direct his efforts to solve one of the most pressing problems of today — energy security. With the support of the yeRobota grant program for veterans, he founded the manufacture of innovative solar power plants in Kyiv.

The company’s innovations stand out for their emphasis on facade solar power plants—an efficient solution that maximizes the use of vertical surfaces, such as building facades and balconies, for solar panel installation. This approach is especially valuable in urban environments where rooftop space is limited.

The achievements of Oleh’s team are impressive:

  • Over 18 patented inventions
  • 3 international patents
  • Winner of the UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) competition

Special attention is drawn to the development of portable solar power plants with a capacity of 30 to 140 watts. This compact equipment have become a real breakthrough for various user categories: from military personnel on the front line to farmers and country residents.

The facade system with 6 solar panels with a total capacity of 800 watts can provide energy autonomy for a 3-room apartment.

“Despite the enemy’s destruction of many production facilities, we have preserved the main thing – specialists and the desire to develop renewable energy in Ukraine”, emphasizes Oleh.

This story is a vivid example of how veterans continue to make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine, transforming their experience and energy into creating innovative solutions for the country’s energy independence.
