The Sumy region faces daily enemy strikes. Given the constant threat of shelling that disrupts power grids, an uninterrupted electricity supply is not just a matter of comfort—it is a matter of survival.
The charitable foundation “RePower Ukraine” is implementing projects in the Sumy region to provide critical social infrastructure with reliable backup power.
Safe educational environment
Particular attention has been paid to educational institutions. The Foundation has provided powerful charging stations to support:
- Schools: these stations ensure the uninterrupted operation of educational activities, especially during distance learning or blackouts. They help maintain communication, lighting, and the functioning of essential equipment.
- Kindergarten shelters: young children require maximum protection. The donated equipment provides lighting, phone charging capabilities, and ventilation in underground shelters where children take refuge during air raid alerts.
Energy for saving lives
A key element of resilience is the ability to provide medical assistance. RePower Ukraine has also equipped:
- Ambulance vehicles: portable charging stations are crucial for powering medical equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators, and monitors inside the vehicles. This ensures that medical teams can stabilize patients en route, even when external power is unavailable.
Hospitals: the Okhtyrka Central District Hospital has been provided with four powerful ALTEK stations, strengthening its capacity to operate during blackouts and save lives in the frontline region.

This comprehensive approach not only addresses blackout challenges but also enhances the resilience and sense of security among residents of the border region. RePower Ukraine continues to work to ensure that vital services can function seamlessly, even under the most difficult conditions. This support has been made possible thanks to our partners, to whom we are deeply and sincerely grateful.
