The RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Solar Ireland to strengthen partnership and solidarity between the solar communities of Ukraine and Ireland.

The agreement was signed during Solar Ireland 2025, the country’s largest solar conference, which gathered more than 600 participants from Ireland and across Europe.

This new cooperation is an important step for Ukraine. Every solar system we install means more energy security for hospitals, schools and communities that live under daily risks and power shortages caused by the war. Together with Solar Ireland, we aim to raise awareness about how solar energy brings not only clean power but also stability and safety to peaceful citizens.

“Ukraine and Ireland share a belief that solar energy is key to energy independence and resilience. For us, solar is not only about electricity — it’s about light, warmth and hope for thousands of families and doctors who depend on it every day. We deeply value this new connection with Solar Ireland and thank Ronan Power and his team for their solidarity,”
said Artem Semenyshyn, Co-Founder and Board Member of RePower Ukraine Foundation.

Through this partnership, Solar Ireland will support RePower Ukraine as a communications and advocacy partner, helping to share our story internationally and bring best practices from Ireland’s fast-growing solar sector.

“Ireland’s solar community knows the power of working together,” said Ronan Power, CEO of Solar Ireland. “By supporting RePower Ukraine, we can help make sure solar delivers not only clean energy but also hope and resilience where it’s needed most.”

Both organisations plan to develop joint initiatives, expert exchanges and awareness campaigns that show how solar energy can protect communities and strengthen energy security even in times of crisis.
