Additionally, the region’s energy security is unreliable due to its limited alternative power supply routes and reliance on a grid passing through Russian-occupied Transnistria, Moldova. It’s important to note that adverse weather conditions also exacerbate the energy crisis. Harsh weather, including strong winds and heavy rains, often leads to power outages in various regions. Even areas surrounding the capital, Kyiv, frequently suffer from electricity disruptions due to these weather-related challenges.

Equipped with backup battery systems, these solar facilities harness and store energy from the sun, stepping in when the conventional grid falters.
